Teacher Hub

Thank you for your interest in teaching at the 2026 Conquer Your Fabric Scraps Summit.

I have hosted two Scrap Summits. The first was in November 2023, and the second was in August 2024. Personal reasons kept me from hosting one in 2025, but the positive impact the Scrap Summits had on attendees, has motivated me to host another event in 2026.

On this page, you’ll find information about the event, what it means to be a summit teacher, and the resources I have for you to make this teaching opportunity as easy as possible. I encourage you to bookmark this page for easy reference.

Before you start reading, please take a look at what teachers and attendees said about previous Conquer Your Fabric Scraps Summits.

I’m so excited to team up with you to pull off another incredible event!

See some of the comments I received from teachers and attendees below.

How the summit works

The 2026 Conquer Your Fabric Scraps Summit is a free online event for quilters running November 9-12, 2026.  Teacher classes will be prerecorded and available to attendees for 48 hours.

Classes vary in length based on the information being taught. Classes should be between 20-30 minutes, but can run a bit longer if needed (no more than 60 minutes).

The free summit classes will be hosted on my site The Ruffled Purse. No log-in required.

Along with the classes, there will be a Facebook group for attendees to connect with teachers and others interested in using scraps. How active you are in the FB group is up to you. You are not required to engage in the private summit Facebook group, but I strongly encourage you to check in during the time your class is available. There will be a post in the FB group that is dedicated to your class. This post will be linked below your class video. Attendees will be invited to click the link and provide feedback/ask questions after watching your class. This a a great chance to engage with the attendees, answer simple questions, and point them to additional resources you have.

Leading up to the summit, we’ll have about two weeks of promotion. You’ll be provided with email swipe copy, social media swipe copy, and social media graphics to make it all easy.

During the promotion phase, when the summit is running, and for a week after the summit is over, we’ll also be promoting the Scrap Success Bundle. This is a collection of resources that are available for purchase after attendees register for the free event. The Bundle will be hosted on my Sewing School on Teachable.

The Bundle will include:

  • Extended access to the classes once the summit is over
  • Teacher contributions (This is optional. See #4 in the section below for details).
  • Other resources to help attendees who purchase it organize, manage, and use their fabric scraps.

The Scrap Success Bundle will provide immense value to our attendees while making the work of promoting and creating a class worthwhile by allowing you to bring in affiliate commissions and grow your email list.

After the summit, I may offer an implementation program to attendees who have shown interest (I’m still working on the details). If I offer an implementation program, you will earn a 30% commission on any sales from attendees you’ve referred.

What I'll ask of you

So this all sounds great, but what kind of work does it require of you? Let’s chat about it.

My goal is to make everything easy so we can all enjoy the event while providing immense value to attendees and growing our businesses.

1. Class Topic

The first thing I’ll need is a decision on the topic of your class. I’ll provide you with a list of ideas as a starting point.

Classes need to be approved by me to ensure there is a variety of classes for attendees.

The class topic is due by April 15, 2026.

2. Basic Teacher Information

The next thing I’ll need is some basic information so I can finish up our registration page and the teacher page (name, bio, headshot, website address, social media handles, and a few other things). I’ll provide a form to make it easy to turn in.

Basic teacher information is due by May 15, 2026.

3. Short Teacher Introduction Video

No longer than 5 minutes, this teacher introduction video will be located on your individual teacher summit page. Attendees will be able to watch it as soon as they register.

I’ll provide an outline so all teachers share information using the same format. Attendees will be directed to the teacher pages once they register.

Below your Introduction Video will be a link to your class bonus (freebie email opt-in) and a feature box showcasing your contribution to the Scrap Success Bundle (optional) with your affiliate link to upgrade.

The intro video is due by May 15, 2026.

Detailed documents will be available to guide you through this process. A form will be provided to make it easy to turn in.

4. Class with a freebie email opt-in

Next up is your class. This is a pre-recorded class or workshop that is meant to be friendly, informative, and actionable. We want our attendees to learn something valuable, feel encouraged, and have fun in the process.

Class content will be structured in a way that allows attendees to walk away feeling like they’ve really learned something and can take action on it immediately with their own fabric scraps.

Classes must not require attendees to give away their email or buy patterns or special tools in order to participate. For patterns and templates needed for the class, direct links must be provided.

A class topic will be determined by April 15 and must be approved by Nicki.

You are free to use the class you create for however you like in the future once the Scrap Summit is over.

The freebie email opt-in

This is optional but without it you won’t be able to collect email addresses from attendees.

Class bonus freebies that convert the best are ones that are related to the class itself. If you need help brainstorming ideas, let me know.

All you need to turn in for the class bonus is a link to the form for attendees to sign up and a way to deliver the download to them.

Name, description, and image

Along with the pre-recorded class video and a link to your class bonus, you will need to provide a name for the class and a description. If you need help with this, let me know.

In addition, you’ll need to provide a JPG or PNG image file of the finished project or a relevant image for color mixing classes. These will be used on summit-branded thumbnails I create, on promotional materials, and to get attendees excited about your class.

Classes and related materials are due by August 1, 2026.

Detailed documents will be available to guide you through this process. A form will be provided to make it easy to turn everything in.

5. Contribute to the Scrap Success Bundle

The Scrap Success Bundle will be a value-packed addition to the free classes. To make it even more valuable and to give you an additional way to collect attendee email addresses, I encourage you to provide a resource to add to the Scrap Success Bundle that would help attendees use their scraps.

This resource would be a product/service you typically charge for. This includes things like:

  • Patterns
  • Another class
  • Courses (big or small)
  • Workshops
  • 1-month memberships

If you have another idea for a summit class, it could be included as a bonus class in the Bundle. Remember, anything you create for the summit is yours to use as you want after the event.

It’s your decision whether you’d like to create something new for the Bundle or provide something you already have. I’m happy to help you brainstorm here, too.

Note: Free offers or percentage-off offers cannot be accepted as part of the Scrap Success Bundle.

While a Bundle contribution isn’t required, I highly encourage you to participate if your summit goals are to get leads and revenue for your business. This is a fantastic opportunity to collect additional email addresses (as attendees will provide their information to claim your bonus) and it makes it easier to promote to your audience since they will want what you’ve included. As a thank you, your affiliate commission will increase to 50%.

Bundle Buyers will be able to claim items from Oct. 21 to December 31.

Bundle contribution info is due by August 1, 2026.

Detailed documents will be available to guide you through this process. A form will be provided to make it easy to turn this info in.

6. Teacher Promotion

The power of an online summit comes from a group of experts coming together for a single cause. The joint promotion that happens because of that is a huge benefit to everyone involved.

All teachers are encouraged to share on social media and to email their lists during the official promotion period, starting on October 26, 2026.

You’ll want to share using your affiliate link (coming soon) so you can get in on the 40% commission you’ll receive from all sales of attendees who sign up using your special link AND purchase the Bundle.

If you choose to contribute a bonus to the Scrap Success Bundle, your commission will increase to 50%.

To make it as easy as possible for you to promote, I’ll create email swipe copy, social media copy, and social share graphics for you to use to promote the summit to your audience.

For the graphics, I’ll create ready-to-use files as well as editable Canva templates to make it easier for you to fit with your branding.

I will have all of these resources to you no later than August 1, 2026.

7. Low-Key Participation

And last comes participation during the week of the event. Since we’ll already have done the work creating the classes and extra resources, we’ll be able to sit back and relax!

All I ask is that you pop into the Facebook group on the days your class is live and interact with the attendees in your dedicated class post. Easy!

Teacher Benefits

While being a teacher in a summit is a lot of fun, there are many benefits for teaching in the Conquer Your Fabric Scraps Summit:

  • Grow your email list even more by contributing a bonus to the Scrap Success Bundle (which is our event’s VIP all-access pass).

Affiliate Details

While summits are great for overall visibility and making new connections, a little extra income never hurts either, right?

That’s exactly why I’ve set up an affiliate program for the Scrap Success Bundle where you’ll receive a commission from all sales of attendees who sign up using your special link AND purchase the Bundle.

The commission structure is as follows:

  • 40% for all teachers
  • 50% for all teachers who include a bonus in the Scrap Success Bundle
  • If I offer an implementation program at the end of the summit, you will earn a 30% commission on any sales from attendees you’ve referred.

The pricing structure for the Scrap Success Bundle will be:

  • $47 (fast action – for one hour after initial registration)
  • $57, $77, $97 (attendees choose their price after the fast action price expires through Nov. 20)
To make it as easy as possible for you to generate extra income, I’ll create email swipe copy, social media copy, and social share graphics for you to use to promote the summit to your audience.

For the graphics, I’ll create ready-to-use files as well as editable Canva templates to make it easier for you to fit with your branding.

Just remember to use your affiliate link, which can be found on your Teachable Affiliate Dashboard (link coming soon.) Directions on how to access your dashboard can be found HERE

As with all affiliate promotions, be sure to disclose that you’re an affiliate when sharing with your audience.

Payments are made via PayPal.

Earnings made in October will be paid on December 1, 2026.

Earnings made in November will be paid on January 1, 2026.
